Fall blooms

Someone smiled on us yesterday because the sun came out - briefly, but there it was all the same. The grey skies cleared, sunlight filtered through the trees, and we had a chance to admire the autumn flowers that have been blossoming mostly unnoticed because we've been going through the rain from Point A to Point B with our hoods up and our eyes down. Fall crocus, fuschia and asters: that's my idea of fall colour.

Hello Miriam! Your rain is here in Virginia but is expected to leave us during the day today, so I'm sure you'll be seeing it again very soon! Your weather really reminds me of when we lived in Alaska and I remember so well just doing everything outside despite the rain!
I also love your fuschias! Unlike the rain, they were my favorite flower when we lived there!

Glad you got to enjoy the colors. Even after only 2 days of rain here, I was starting to feel dreary. NOT that I'm complaining!!

The cosmos finally noticed that we'd been dumped on for far too long and is giving us a week of glorious days ahead. Yahoo!
See you Friday
