I turned fifty about forty-five minutes ago. Today may be the official day, but yesterday was the party. Yesterday was the second-most perfect day ever, and now today is the rest, re-read cards and eat leftover cake day.
Everything about yesterday was wonderful: the garden...
and the table.
The food - oh, the food!
And the cake.
The flowers from Margaret and Madeleine's gardens...
...and most of all the company.

Happy Birthday! Two of my good friends have birthday today as well, they're good people, these September 24 babies.
That looks like a wonderful party! My next big one is the Five-Oh as well. At least I still have a few years left to work on the garden! Hopefully it will look as fabulous as yours.

Just so you know, when I was working in crisis management we had codes that we entered to represent, at the end of the day, in our paperwork, what the outcome of the call or visit was.
"50" meant the crisis was resolved.
So. You're crisis is resolved. Whatever it was.
