Mucky Boots lullaby

This is the sound we go to sleep to these days, courtesy of the residents of the pond at the back of the property. Happy Spring!

If you add an owl it would sound like what we hear at night too!

That's way better than the sound of cicadas I used to have to hear in Florida. Try that decibel, several notes higher.

Growing up in California, we'd have cricket song all night long. I think that is the sweetest, because it's not as loud, and it's much lower. I realize writing this that I miss it. Maybe it's just summers at home that I miss. But hey- that's why I moved back to this coast! I maybe be several hundred miles north of home, but I'm still on the right coast!

That was a nice sound bite, though. I'll be honest- I'm not sure I could sleep through that! I imagine that you get used to it, though.....

Ah, the sweet lullabies of nature. Ours is just beginning. It'll be a few weeks yet before the full symphony is in play.
Enjoy!
